Elaine Watson of Anacortes, Washington passed away May 13, 2014 at home surrounded by her family after fighting a 2 year long battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was the first born to Ed and Jeanette Lundgren in Mission City, BC on December 4, 1943.

They moved to the farm on Dike Road in Mount Vernon in 1947. Elaine graduated from Mount Vernon High School with the class of 1962.

Shortly after graduating she moved to Anacortes where she has resided ever since. Elaine was united in marriage to Jerald Watson on December 22, 1973.

Elaine loved living in Anacortes. She enjoyed garage saleing, going to Soroptimist, and having picnics at the beach. She also enjoyed her Tuesday afternoon tea parties with her good friends and neighbors, Rosa Parker, Vera Oakes, and Shirli Weber. She loved her family home and gardening, but most of all Elaine loved and enjoyed her family.

Elaine is preceded in death by her infant son in 1964; her dad, Ed Lundgren in 2005; and her daughter, Joni Watson-Graves on December 23, 2013.

She is survived by her husband, Jerald Watson at the family home; her 94 year old mother, Jeanette Lundgren of Mount Vernon; daughters, Shelly (David) Smith, Jerri Watson (Pat Robinson), Lisa Parker, Amy (Tom) Shardlow; grandchildren, Victor and Kyle Smith, Ashley and Amber McHenry, Mitchell Babarovich, twins Shane and Carson and Jax Shardlow; great-grandchildren, Mason and Dean Bonafede; sister, Marie (Hank) Jarrells; brothers, John Lundgren and Raymond (Sharline) Lundgren. Elaine is also survived by her husband's family and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bruce Lin and the amazing staff at Virginia Mason, Dr. Les Conway and the wonderful staff at Island Hospital and Skagit Hospice for making our mom comfortable in her final moments.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Soroptimist of Anacortes.

A celebration of life picnic will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., Anacortes, WA and the San Juan Islands. To share memories of Elaine, please sign the online guest register at www.evanschapel.com.
