Richard E. Hick,born in Iowa, parents were Clyde Hick and Charlotte Richardson-Hick. Married to Mina Louise Springer and had one son Richard Lewis Hick. Two grandchildren Bonnie and Jerry Hick. A "Jack of all trades" carpenter, brick mason, and best cabinet maker of the old school. Served in the Sea Bees during WWII stationed in Quam. Moved to Texas in 1950 from Iowa and located in Houston, then Splendora where his son "Ricky" graduated from High School. Moved to Weimer in 1978 and was in the VA hospital in Houston for Cancer of the lung in 1979, where they romoved his left lung. He died of those complications and injury. Leaving his wife Louise to carry on. Preceeding him in death were his father in 1934, mother in 1976 leaving his sister Juanita of Elkhart Iowa, his brother Elmo of Montclair, Ca. and sister Letta of Splendora, along with nieces and nephews and many friends.
