Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Friday, July 13, 1962, page 2:
  Mrs. Frances Brewer, who resided with a daughter, Mrs. John (Juanita) Johnson of Edwardsville Route 2, died Thursday morning at Doctor's Hospital, Poplar Bluff, Mo., while visiting with another daughter, Mrs. Frieda A. McMurry, in Piedmont, Mo.  She was 77 years old.
  Born Aug. 3, 1884 in Indiana, she was the daughter of Rielly and Sophie Main. Her husband, Isaac Brewer, whom she married June 23, 1898, died in February, 1955.
  Besides the two daughters, she is survived by three sons, Melvin M. of Las Vegas, Nev., Raymond S. of Utica, Mich., and Fabian A. of Ellsinore, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Joseph Main, who resided in Missouri.
  A son, Aaron, died in infancy.
  Mrs. Brewer was a member of the Assembly of God church at Royal Oak, Mich.
  The body will lie in state at St. John's Methodist church Memorial chapel after 7 o'clock this evening until 11 a.m. Saturday. The Lesley Marks funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Edwardsville Assembly of God church, with the Rev. Cecil F. Grigsby officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers were William Hunt, Paul Hundley, Miles Logan, Jasper Patton, Fred Johnson and George Van Huss.
