Jewel Blackerby Taylor age 87, died June 22, 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Katie Eubanks Blackerby; brothers, Lawson Blackerby and Lloyd Blackerby; daughters, Mary Lou Koen and Peggy Sue Taylor.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband of 67 years, James Leroy Taylor of Chelsea; two daughters, son, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday, June 24, 2002, 2pm at Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea with burial in adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8pm at Bolton-Brown Funeral Home, Columbiana, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Liberty Baptist Church.
