He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving proudly in Vietnam. He was retired after 20 years as an Iron Worker. He was a Life member of the American Legion and the VFW in Bonita Springs as well as belonging to the Moose Lodge and Eagles. His favorite place to vacation was Islamorada in the Florida Keys.
He is survived by his wife and Soul Mate, Janice A. Roller who recalls "Too many wonderful times together to list". Also surviving are his brother, Danny Daniel; sisters, Dora Rip and Pam Daniel; and stepchildren, Joseph and Kathryn Cahoon, Frederick W. Roller IV and Ernest K. Roller.
A celebration of Roy's life will be held at a later date at the American Legion, Bonita Springs.
