Son of Benjamin and Frances (Rice) Allen.

Husband of Mary Hoar. They wed in Sudbury, MA, on Jan. 21, 1724/5.

He wrote his Will 7 July 1767. He died of small-pox at the age of seventy five. Will proven 22 July 1777.

COUNTY of MIDDLESEX; within his Majesties Province of the Massachusetts Bay in New England. I do make and ordain this my Last will & Testament Principally & first of all I recommend my Soul into the Hands of God who gave it, & my Body I recommend to the Earth to be Buried in Decent Christian Burial. I Give Demise & Dispose of the Same in the following manner & form, after my Just Debts & funeral Charges paid &c.

Imprimis: I Give to my Beloved wife Mary Allen the Use & Improvement of all my Real Estate, with the Improvement of Two Cows & a horse to ride.

Item I Give to my Dutifull Son Nehemiah Allen five Shillings which with what he hath already had is to be his full part out of my Estate.

Item I Give to my Dutifull Son Jonathan Allen five Shillings which with what he hath already had is to be his full part out of my Estate.

Item I Give to my Dutifull Son Zabediah Allen five Shillings which with what he hath alre[a]dy had is to be his full part out of my Estate.

Item I Give to my Dutifull Son John Allen five Shillings which with what he hath already had is to be his full part out of my Estate.

Item I Give to my Dutifull Daughter Mary Farrar Six pounds Thirteen Shillings & four pence, which with what she hath alre[a]dy had is to Be her full part of of my Estate.

Item I Give to my Dutifull Daughter Susannah Rice Six pounds thirteen Shillings & four pence after my & my wifes Deceas[e], which with what she hath alre[a]dy had is to be her full part out of my Estate.

Item I Give to my Dutifull Daughter Dorothy Glezen Six pounds Thirteen Shillings & four pence after my wifes Deceas[e], which with what She hath already had is to be her full part out of my Estate.

Item I Give & Bequeath to my Dutifull Son Josiah Allen all my Quick Stock Excepting Two Cows which I Gave the Improvement of to my wife & at her Deceas[e] I Give them to my Executor, also all my husbandry Tools, also I Give to my Dutifull Son Josiah Allen all my Lands & Buildings which I now posess & Injoy, to him his Heirs & Assigns for Ever; after my wives Deceas[e], also all my wareing apparill.

I Likewise Constitute make & ordain my Beloved Son Josiah Allen my Executor. In Witness where of I have here Unto Set my hand & Seal the Day and year above Written.
