Kathryn (Kate) Vos, 64, of Northglenn, Colorado, died Saturday, June 18, 2005, at the Exempla Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She was born on February 27, 1941 at Ollie, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Lois Marie Baker Hoover. On March 28, 1958, she was united in marriage to Howard Vos at Pella, and he died October 6, 1993. While living in Iowa she had worked at Rolscreen Company (Pella Corp) and attended the Trinity Reformed Church in Pella. They moved to Northglenn in July of 1975. Kate enjoyed reading, baking, and was very close to her grandsons.
Kate's family includes her daughter: Cheryl (& Tom) Steffen of Littleton, Colorado, a son: Jeff Vos of Thornton, Colorado; and she was "Grandma Kate" to her four grandsons: Justin (& Heather) Persinger, Jonathan Persinger, and Tyler and Austin Vos; a brother: Jerry (& Linda) Hoover of Oskaloosa; and two sisters: Barb Mitrisin of Oskaloosa and Donna (& Gary) Carmichael of Taylor Ridge, Illinois.
Besides her husband, Kate was preceded in death by her parents, and a son: Randy Vos.
