Bennie A. Lippens, 87, passed away peacefully on a Wednesday afternoon, at the Christian Park Health Care Facility, surrounded by his loving family.

Bennie was the son of Adolph Sr. and Sibilla (Lafault) Lippens. Bennie was raised in St. Nicholas and attended the Rock school system.

Bennie left school at a young age to work on his family's farm, a decision quite common for that era. He eventually had a family of his own where he raised his six children on a small farm in St. Nicholas. He was also employed as a construction worker for Snowden Inc.

On Jan. 30, 1982, Bennie was united in marriage to his loving wife Mary and together the couple made their home in Gladstone. Bennie retired from Snowden in 1987.

He enjoyed camping at local campgrounds, especially up in Little Lake, traveling throughout the winter months, playing Smear with his family and the Perkins Smear League, taking trips to the casino and going on four-wheeler rides every Wednesday with the "Old Timers Group."

Survivors include: three sons, two daughters, six brothers, seven sisters, 11 grandchildren, 16 loving great grandchildren, a son in law, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Adolph Sr. and Sibilla, Bennie was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. Lippens on Dec. 3, 2007, and his daughter, Carol Radlein, on July 13, 2006.

Visitation at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Church officiated by Rev. Fr. Ronald Timock. Bennie was laid to rest next to his wife Mary at the Fernwood Cemetery.
