Opal Elvadie Adams was born in Dallas County, Arkansas to James Franklin Adams and Addie Belle Pennington. She married Percy Shaklee on the 25th March 1933 in Denver, Colorado. They lived in the Denver area until after Percy's death. At the time they lived in Wheat Ridge. Opal living in Arkadelphia, Arkansas from Jan 1, 1995 to 13 July 2001 when she apparently went into a nursing home in Texarkana, Bowie Co., Texas. She died there on 1 March 2005. Apparently she & Percy had no children. Opal had three brothers and one sister who preceded her in death. She's buried next to her husband in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
