Jackie Kenneth Allen, age 67, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014. He was born on January 5, 1947 in Polk County, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Dykes Allen; father, Clay Allen, SR; mother, Marie Tankersley Allen; son, Jeff Allen; brothers, William Allen, Jay Allen and Gary Allen; sister, Annie Mae Allen Williams; twin brother and sister, Ellis and Ellise Allen.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters in law, James Winston and Margaret Allen, Joe Allen, Clay JR and Barbara Allen, John and Martha Allen, Wendell and Pat Allen, Tommy Allen, Jimmy and Doris Allen, Gene Allen, Stoney Allen, Charles and Mary Allen, all of Dalton; sisters and brother in law, Ruby Allen Woods of Dalton, Marie West of Chatsworth, Betty Rich of Chatsworth, Linda and Larry Pelfrey of Dalton; a very special friend, Kathy Boyd; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jackie Kenneth Allen will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Ron Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Boyd Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 to 9:00 PM on Monday evening
