Jacqueline "Jackie" Henry, 51, of Nome, Alaska, formerly of Cambridge, Iowa, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Jackie was born March 18, 1963, in Nevada to Howard and Josephine (Pearey) Kilburn. She graduated from Ballard High School in 1981, and was united in marriage to Clifford Henry on June 12, 1991, in Nevada. Jackie worked as a pilot for Bering Air for 18 years and was a member of the AOPA.
Jackie loved the outdoors, especially sailing, camping, canoeing and birding. She also liked photography, quilting, knitting and crocheting. Jackie was recently writing a book, Wildflowers of the Seward Peninsula, which will soon be published and dedicated to her.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Cliff of Nome, Alaska; her father, Howard Kilburn of Cambridge; her sister, Barbara and husband Lee Myers of Bondurant; her treasured niece and nephews, Michelle, Noah and Matthew; and her beloved Black Lab, Emma. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1993.

Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada, 1418 Fawcett Parkway. Family will greet friends two hours prior to the service.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Jackie may be made to the Norton Sound Hospital Paramedics and Rescue in Nome, Alaska.
