Ruby Ann Abbott McDonald, 94, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Friday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood. Ruby Ann was born June 3, 1919, in Negley to Joseph Benjamin Abbott and Aldora Martin Black. Ruby married Chester David McDonald on Oct. 16, 1939. She raised four sons, was a housewife, practical nurse and the wife of a Pentecostal preacher. Her husband preached throughout Texas and Oklahoma. She was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother (Mema), wife and friend. She was loved by all including the caregivers at Heartland Nursing Home in North Richland Hills and on Skyline who took care of her for the last six years. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband and eldest son, Herbert. Survivors: Sons, Larry, Phillip (Mack) and Steve; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
