Herman Emil Delz, 80, died Monday, May 16, 1977, at 7:07 p.m , in Hill Country Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 18, at 4:30 p.m., in Beckmann Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Arnold Schlueter officiating Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Delz was born March 28, 1897, in Gillespie County, the son of Bernhard Delz and Lena Knoblauch Delz. He married Olga Freda Schmidt Feb. 24, 1921, in Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. F.A. Bracher officiating. She preceded him in death October 6, 1973. He is survived by the following children: Dorothy, Mrs. Lee Moldenhauer, Fredericksburg; James Delz, Austin; Ruby, Mrs. Johnny Thompson, Kerrville; Marie, Mrs. Tilford Clark. Kerrville, Floyd Delz, Round Rock; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters: FTd Delz, Llano; Mike Delz. Llano, Edna, Mrs. Manzy Holland, Willow City; Amelia, Mrs. Monroe Wilson, Llano; Louise, Mrs. James Heimann, Florida. In addition to his wife, lie was preceded in death by two children, Mrs Lucille Wilson and Bernhard August Delz; also twin brothers and a sister, Fred and William Delz and Mrs. Ola Walker.
