Sharon Hines, 77, of Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014.
Born on Feb. 6, 1937, in Indianapolis to the late Meredith and Nettie Osborne, she was a 1955 graduate of Shortridge High School and attended Indiana University.
After raising four children, she began her career at Franklin Plastics Products, retiring as purchasing manager in 2006.
She was a member of the Johnson County American Business Women's Association and was a recipient of the Business Woman of the Year Award.
Sharon was an avid sports fan, cherished time with her family and adored her grandchildren. She was a passionate Indianapolis 500 fan, attending the race for 63 years.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, C. Wesley; children, Cheryl Thomas (William), Teri Manship (Cory) and Scott Hines (Letha); eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Maxine Chapple; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Brian; one grandson; two brothers; and one sister.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
