DOROTHY J. NEIBERT, 63, of 14819 Wayne Highway, Waynesboro, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown. She had been ill for the last year and critically ill since July.

Born Aug. 24, 1928, in Maugansville, she was the daughter of the late George and Bertha (Sprankle) Ebersole. She was a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Hagerstown Senior HIgh School with the Class of 1948.

She and her husband, Bruce I. Neibert, Sr., were married Dec. 16, 1951, in Hagerstown, and lived at the present residence since 1951, where they owned and operated the Neibert farm.

Mrs. Neibert was a member of the Hollowell Brethren in Christ Church of Waynesboro and its Kingdom Builders Sunday School Class.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Blanche Arlene DeMartino and Mary Ann Fox, both of Waynesboro; two sons, Bruce I. Neibert, Jr., and David F. Neibert, both of Waynesboro; six grandchildren; her stepmother Josephine Ebersole of Hagerstown; two sisters, Hazel Ridenour of Waynesboro, and Geraldine Weller of Maugansville; and one brother, George R. Ebersole, a resident of the Veterans Administration Center, Martinsburg, W. Va.

She also is survived by six half sisters, Peggy Keefer of Boonsboro, Joann Miller of Waynesboro, and Virginia Rowe, Betty Ebersole, Fanny Shubert and Susie Surbaugh, all of Hagerstown; and three half brothers, Elmer Ebersole of Hagerstown, Kenny Ebersole of Delaware, and Glenn Ebersole of Waynesboro.

She was preceded in death by one sister, four brothers and one half sister.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Snyder Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert G. Byers officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Friday.

The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to the Meadow Dialysis Facility, 1714 Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown, Md. 21740
