EDWARD A. OETJEN

Edward A. Oetjen, 81, of 2629 Walnut St., Blue Island, died Feb 9 at Monticello Convalescent center in Oak Lawn. He was born June 22, 1892 in Blue Island, and lived here all his life, having been employed by Wyman-Gordon Ingall-Shepherd division for 38 years, retiring in 1937. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran church and Blue Island American Legion Post 50.

Mr. Oetjen was the husband of the late Hilda (nee Sieg), the father of Marian (William) Tucker of Blue Island and the late Charles Oetjen. He was the brother of the late George, Clara Henke, Conrad (twin) and Chris.

Services were held Monday at First Ev. Lutheran church, with Pastors L.C. Beener and Luther Wachholz officiating, from Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave, Blue Island. Interment was at Lutheran cemetery.
