George Raymond Hobson, Orofino, passed away Feb. 18, 2011 at Clearwater Valley Hospital in Orofino. He was 92.

He was born June 3, 1918 at Sauk Centre, MN to Raymond and Ruth Clementine (Lingo) Hobson.

He married the late Ellen Katherine Johnson July 19, 1941. He served as pastor in Oregon, Idaho, Arizona and Montana.

His hobbies included bee keeping and hunting.

He is survived by his sister Marjorie Shanholtzer of Montana; four children Katherine Hobson of Phoenix, AZ, Betty (Jim) McGill of Nampa, Allen (Mary Lou ) of Ephrata, WA and Eva (Dale) Durkee of Weippe; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ruth (Lingo) Hobson; wife Ellen; brother, Glen Hobson.

Funeral services were held Feb. 23 at Pine Hills Funeral Chapel in Orofino.
