Janet Z. Martinko, 80, of Bettendorf, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, March 30, 1998, at Davenport Good Samaritan Center after a brief illness. The former Janet Zillig was born July 16, 1917, in Dubuque. She married Albert Martinko in 1948 in Biloxi, Miss. He died in 1995.
She served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
She leaves her daughter Janelle Stonebraker of Bettendorf; two grandchildren; and sister Viola Heim of Mesa, Ariz.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Visitation is from 10 a.m. Friday until time of service.
