Services Held Here For George Robert Burton

George R. Burton, age 67 years, passed away Saturday, March 7, at his home north of town. He had been in ill health for some time.
Funeral service was held Tuesday at the Hunsaker funeral home, conducted by Rev. F. E. Conrad, pastor of the Assembly of God church. Interment was in the cemetery in Hominy.
George Robert Burton was born at Crane, Stone county, Missouri, on July 14, 1885, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Calvin Burton. He was united in marriage at Hominy, Oklahoma, to Katie Myrtle Overholser. To this union were born six children.
Immediate family survivors besides his wife include the six children, Pansy Novella Burton of Norman, Okla. Robert Preston, James Calvin, George Elmer, Margaret Alice, Kenneth Warren at home; two stepchildren Mrs. Barbara Kathryn Hutson of Wichita, Kansas, William Murray McCamey, in the air force at San Antonio, Texas; three sisters and other relatives.
Mr. Burton was a veteran of World War One.
