They moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma for three years while Jerry attended college and Diane took accounting classes. After Jerry graduated they moved to Oak Ridge, Tennessee where Diane worked at the accounting firm of Simpson and Simpson.
In November of 1970 they adopted a beautiful little girl into their life named Kimberly Diahann. They moved to Reydon, Oklahoma in 1972 to the Chandler Farm and went into the dairy business with Jerry's parents until 1978. Then they bought part of the farm and had a dairy until November 1981.
They adopted a beautiful baby boy in June 1976 his name is Michael Wayne.
Dianne went to work at the Security State Bank in Cheyenne, Oklahoma in November 1982. Diane enjoyed her work at the bank and made many good friends.
What Jerry and Diane believed was a miracle, Diane became pregnant after 18 years of marriage and had a beautiful baby boy on September 10, 1984. He was named Brian Curtis.
Diane loved to read until the loss of her eyesight. She lost much of her eyesight in January of 1993. She could no longer work at the bank so she stayed home and took care of her husband and their home. She and her husband watched General Hospital every day when he came home from teaching school.
Diane loved seeing her children and grandchildren. She was always worrying about everyone else but never about herself. Diane had many health problems during her time on earth and we know she is now in a better place where she is not having to suffer any more. The last two months of Diane's life were spent at Mercy Hospital. The nursing staff became part of our family. They loved her and cared for her as she was one of their own.
Diane and Jerry were meant to be together and were soul mates. She will be missed greatly by all her family and friends.
