McVEYTOWN - Dale G. Harvey, 82, of Rowe Drive Ext., McVeytown, died at 6:15 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014, at his home.Born March 24, 1932, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Harry W. and Joicy Olive (Weidman) Harvey.His wife, Audrey B. (Horn) Harvey, whom he married July 24, 1954, survives.Also surviving are: a daughter, Linda J. Kelsey and husband, Danny, of Moncks Corner, S.C.; a son, Steven G. Harvey and wife, Cinda, of Lewistown; and four grandchildren, Daniel Harvey, whom they raised, Kimberly Walters, Erin Harvey and Amanda Lash.He was preceded in death by: a son, Robert D. Harvey, in 2009; an infant son; two half brothers; and two half sisters.A sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, he was a veteran of the Korean conflict, serving in Korea and the Philippines.Dale was a self-employed carpenter and a member of the Grove Memorial United Methodist Church.A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown, with Pastor Dennis Sproull officiating. Interment, with military honors accorded by VFW Post 7011, Lewistown, will be in Mount Rock Cemetery.Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to Home Nursing Agency Hospice, 129 S.
