Thomas M. Woolsey, age 65, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 6:15 am. He fought a long battle with kidney cancer and is now at peace.

He served four years in the United States Army in Huntsville, Alabama. He went into the Houston Police Academy on 8/23/71. During his career he served at the Central Division and the Fleet Unit. He retired on 1/31/92 while last assigned to the Special Operations Division. He then served in the Harris County Sheriff's Department. He served with them from 1/21/92 – 3/31/09.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Woolsey, three children, Sheri Wurst and her husband Tom, Michael Woolsey and Jason Woolsey. Tom has three wonderful grandchildren, Kevin Wurst and his wife Candice, Andrew Wurst and his wife Amanda, and Leah Woolsey. He also has one great-grandchild which will be born in November. He was loved by everyone who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm in the Stateroom at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024.

Funeral Service will held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 12:30 pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024.

Interment will follow the funeral service at 2:30 pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.

Donations can be made to Northwest Church of Christ, 6720 W Tidwell Rd, Houston, TX 77092.

Tom lived to be 65 years, 11 months and 22 days old.
