Philip F. Koch, Sr., age 69, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

Phil was born on June 23, 1944 in Kellnersville to the late Thomas and Margaret Barstow Koch Sr. He graduated from Hilbert High School with the class of 1962. Phil had worked several maintenance positions before retiring from Harris Banks. He was a member of AFSCME Union and the Eagles Club. Phil was an avid Packer and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed his motorcycle trips to Sturgis. Phil was a very handy man and always willing to give a helping hand. He will be sadly missed by family, friends, and the Green Street gang.

Survivors include Phil's significant other: Jean Thompson, Manitowoc; two sons: Philip (Bridget) Koch, Jr. and Kaci Koch and his significant other, Samantha, all of Henderson, NV; two daughters: Kim Hill, and Koren Bonlander and her life partner, Shawna; all of Chilton; 10 grandchildren: Ryan, Philip III, Shelby, Shiloh, Symone, Brock, Morgan, Kameron, Kelly, and Justin; five brothers: Ronald (Zeta) Koch, Thomas (Karen) Koch, David Koch, Robert (Connie) Koch, and Leroy (Sandy) Koch; three sisters: Elsie (Eugene) Berndt, Elnora Ahearn, and Barbara Moore; also nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Phil was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Margaret Koch; three brothers: Edward, Richard, and Leonard Koch; four sisters: Beulah Plocar, Charlotte Meyer, Vivian Nienhaus, and Vera Piechocky.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Rev. William R. Kilps will officiate. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. Cremation will take place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel at a later date. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home & Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
