Service for Margie Looper Watson, 83, of Blum will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 15, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in Blanton Cemetery near Blum. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Watson passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014. She was born in Cleburne to Albert Stinson and Annie Laurie Harrison Looper. She married Joe Weir Watson on December 18, 1948 in Cleburne and he preceded her in death on February 3, 1991.

Mrs. Watson was a 1948 graduate of CHS. She was a homemaker and previously worked for 26 years for the S&H Green Stamp Company in Fort Worth. Also she worked the farm with her husband when he was alive. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her family was her life, especially spending time with her sister.

She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church. Her love for her family and life will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sons, Freddie Albert Watson and wife Aurelia and Jackie Paul Watson; eleven grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Edith McDonald; and brother, Leroy Looper; a number of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Joe Don Watson and Johnny Watson; and sister, Patsy White.
