Jane C. García, age 87, beloved and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 11, 2014, while surrounded by her loving family.
Jane was born in Parsons, KS and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM.
Jane enjoyed sewing, dancing, gardening, arts and crafts and shopping. Jane especially loved spending time with her family.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Eulalia and Marcelino Casarez.
Jane is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ishmael García of the family home, her children, Frank Vásquez and his wife, Ester, Frederick Vásquez and his wife, Kathy and Donald García and his wife, Inez, seven grandchildren, Chris Vásquez and his wife, Brenda, Monica Smith and her husband, John, Renee Valdéz and her husband, Daniel, Stephanie García (Matt Silva), Sharon García (Donny Sedillo), Vanessa Vásquez and Bradley Vásquez, nine great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Jane will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched.
A Rosary will be recited on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE. Pallbearers will be Carlos García, Anthony García, Daniel Valdéz, Matt Silva, Donny Sedillo and Devin Vásquez. Honorary Bearers will be Danea García, Bradley Vásquez and Vanessa Vásquez.
