Mrs. Marian Taylor, 85, was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Harvey S. Hicks II; mother, Ivy Richmond Taylor Huggins; sister, Martha J. Taylor; and grandson, Vernard A.S. Johnson. Marian is survived by her son, Harvey S. Hicks III, PhD (Rene); daughter, Ivette H.J. Boone (Robert); one granddaughter, Marshira Smith (Todd); two grandsons, Vernon and Raymond Johnson; three stepgrandsons, Michael, Timothy and Jonathan Talbert; three great-granddaughters, LaRonia, Jailyn and Kelly Johnson. Mrs. Hicks was a dedicated Richmond Public School teacher for more than 36 years before retiring, a faithful member of Mosby Memorial Baptist Church where she faithfully responded to any call or need, lastly being a deacon. Funeral services conducted at Mosby Memorial Baptist Church by Rev. Billy J. Hill, pastor.
