Death Takes Byrde Islip
Mrs. Byrde Islip, 60, died Sunday night in a local hospital after a long illness. A native of Ione, she had resided in Acampo for many years.
Mrs. Islip was a member of the Adams family, Amador county pioneers. He husband, the late William E. Islip, was a successful grape shipper and vineyardist. Her father was the late Arthur Adams of Lodi.
Mrs. Islip leaves her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Adams of Lodi; a sister, Mrs. Eva Myers of Lodi; and brothers, Kester A. Adams of Placerville, and Harold (Dick) Adams of Acampo.
Also surviving are her nieces, Mrs. Vivian Truelove of Pismo Beach, Mrs. Bernice Pahl of Stockton, Mrs. Ada Lois Barbero of Lodi, and Linda Adams of Acampo; and a nephew, Donald Adams of Acampo.
