Gwenn Ker, 66, 310 Sunnyside Road, died here May 14, 1982 after suffering a heart attack.
She was born April 23, 1916 in Rexburg, the daughter of Albert and Janet Weekes Terry. She attended Archer schools and graduated from Madison High School. She lived in Idaho Falls for the past 22 years.
A graduate of the Excellcis Beauty School in Salt Lake City, Mrs. Ker worked much of her life in the beauty salon business. She was employed at the Hotel Utah Salon in Salt Lake and then in New York City for several years at the Waldorf Hotel Beauty Salon. During the summer, she operated her own beauty shop in Kennebunkport, Maine. After returning to Idaho Falls, she purchased and operated Terri's House of Beauty Salon.
On August 11, 1963 she married Keith M. Ker of Idaho Falls in Elko, Nevada.
Mrs. Ker was active as a volunteer at Idaho Falls Consolidated Hospitals. Each year she promoted IFCH's Mistletoe Mart and later the Festival of Trees.
She was active in the Idaho Falls Symphony and Music Association and the Garden Club of Idaho Falls. She served as a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Idaho Falls. She was a member of the LDS Church.
Besides her husband, survivors include a son, Shaun P. Ker of Phoenix; four stepsons, Keith D. Ker, Steven E. Ker, David M. Ker, and Gregory M. Ker, all of Idaho Falls; two stepdaughters, Lisa Summers of Las Vegas and Pamela Jorgenson of Idaho Falls; a brother, Learin Terry of Archer; a sister, Mrs. Etta Lee of Idaho Falls; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Wood Funeral Home, Chapel of the Pines. Burial wil be in Sutton Cemetery at Archer.
