Howard Bramel
1927-2008
PARIS - Howard Nelson Bramel Jr., 81, of Danville, formerly of Bourbon County, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at the Hospice Care Center.
Born Feb. 12, 1927, in Bourbon County, he was a son of the late Howard Nelson and Madeline Douglas Bramel Sr. He was a retired IBM supervisor, former night watchman for Claiborne Farm, Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and the widower of Carol Faye Bramel and Nancy Wells Bramel.
Survivors include two sisters, Lois Yazell of Lexington and Joyce Townes of Danville; three brothers, Harold (Mildred) Bramel of Lexington, Fred Bramel of Cherry Valley, Calif., and Paul (Sue) Bramel of Texas City, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by the Rev. Troy Miller, with burial in the Paris Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be John Townes, Keith Bramel, Mel Cobb, Tod Rose, David Casey, Robert Brown and Mike Siler.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
