Margie was born in York on March 18, 1932, the daughter of the late Edward Luckenbaugh and the late Florence (Ness) Shenberger Luckenbaugh.
She worked as the Head Cook for the Spring Grove School District for over 25 years and was a longtime faithful member of Faith Evangelical Congregation Church in York. She enjoyed cooking large meals for family and friends and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Geiman of Spring Grove; her son, Steven M. Senft and his wife Robin of Lewes Del.; her grandchildren, Christy Weaver and her husband Merle, Jessica Blakeman and her husband Matthew, Jenna Senft; and her great-grandchildren, Tianna, Terynn, Kennedy and Tyla Ann. She is also survived by her sister, Charlotte Yingling. She was predeceased by her brothers Murray, Robert and Curtis Shenberger and her sisters Pauline Weir, Romaine Latchaw, Almeda Becker and Dorothy Ruth.
A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove with Rev. Michael E. Campbell officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service next to her husband at St. Paul (Dubs) Union Cemetery in Hanover. Viewings will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Faith Evangelical Congregation Church, 833 Stoverstown Rd., York PA 17408.
