Mrs. Jean M. Williams, 79, wife of Stewart H. Williams, of the Sunset Woods Apts., and formerly of Herthum Rd., Whitesboro, died Wednesday, November 13, 1996, at the Masonic Home.

She was born in Utica, a daughter of Clarence T. and Louise Richthammer Miller. She graduated from Utica free Academy in 1934. She worked at H. K. Hineline Company where she met her first husband, Richard G. White, treasurer of the company, who died in 1971. Mrs. Williams served as secretary of Trinity Lutheran Church. After many years as a homemaker, she worked with Drs. Jones, Gant and Menotti until retiring in 1981. In 1976, she married Stewart H. Williams in Utica.

Mrs. Williams was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a volunteer at the Munson-Williams Proctor Institute.

Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and John Morabito, of Poughkeepsie; a son, Steven R. White, of San Jose, CA; a step-daughter and her husband, Deborah and Richard Brooks, of Moreno Valley, CA,; a step-son and his wife, Stewart and Esther Williams of New Hartford; and ten grandchildren, Joelle, Lauren and Michael John Morabito, Laura, Sarah and Megan Brooks, and Keith and wife, Tina, and son, David, Ken, Lorraine and Kurt Williams.

She also leaves two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Robert S. and Alice Miller, of Yardley, PA, George A. and Betty Miller, of Baton Rouge, LA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Lt. Vivian L. Miller, who died in action in North Africa, during WWII.

The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2620 Genesee St., Utica. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours at the Friedel, Williams, Coriale & Edmunds Funeral Home, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford, will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9.

Friends may consider the Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in her memory.
