Madison Capital Times, Madison, Wisconsin, Friday, March 21, 1975, Page 43, Col. 3: Platteville---Mrs. Byron Stephens, age 64, of Rural Route 3, Platteville, died on Wednesday, March 19, 1975, at hazel Green Hospital. Born July 24, 1910 in Grant County Wisconsin, she was a lifelong resident of the Platteville area. Mrs. Stephens was the former Honor A. Culver and married Byron Stephens October 21, 1930. She was a member of the Whig United Methodist Church and a member of the W.S.C.S. of the church. Survivors include her husband, Byron; a daughter, Mrs. David (JoAnne) Brown of Shullsburg; two sons, Stephen Stephens of Kenosha and Amos Stephens of Idaho Falls, Idaho; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Hila Heffernan of Kewaunee; and two brothers, Ernest D. Culver of Platteville and Jerry B. Culver of LaCrosse. Funeral services will be held at Wig United Methodist Church, at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday March 22. Burial in Whig Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. on Friday, March 21, at Thomas-Bonin-Soman Funeral Home, Platteville.
