GRANTSBORO - Bruce Lavon "Slow Poke" Willis, 72, of Grantsboro died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
He was a member of Goose Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired from Potter Trucking.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Willis; two sons, Robert Willis of Goldsboro and Brian Willis of Silverhill; one daughter, Stacy Willis of Oriental; one brother, Thomas Willis of New Bern; three sisters, Ann Davis of Arapahoe; Pat Willis and Barbara Willis, both of Oriental; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Monday, May 9, at Goose Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Cindy Midyette officiating. Interment will follow in Cayton Cemetery.
The family received friends Sunday at the church.
