Funeral services for James A. Langdon, 48 years old, of 225 South Henderson Avenue, who died Monday afternoon at a local hospital, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 at the First Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. L. W. Cleland, officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery with the Brinkopf-Howell Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Langdon was born December 19, 1907 at Roscoe in St. Clair County and attended public schools there. He operated a truck line of his own at Shell until 1937, when he married the former Miss Fannie West of Benton and then moved to Cape Girardeau. In that year he went to work for the Kimbel Truck Lines, where he had been employed since.
He leaves his wife: two daughters, Miss Jeanine and Miss Joyce of the home; his father, Sheldon Langdon of Appleton City; three brothers, Ernest of Higginsville, Fred of Collins and Gerald of California and one sister, Mrs. Winnie Bedford of Appleton City.

Last rites were held this afternoon for James A. Langdon, 48 years old, 225 South Frederick Street, from the First Baptist Church by the pastor, Rev. L. W. Cleland. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery with Brinkopf-Howell service. Mr Langdon died Monday.
Pallbearers, employees of the Kimbel Truck line where Mr. Langdon was employed, were Amos Nelson, Herbert Hency, Earl Davis, A. J. Buelow, Elwood Brown, Harvey Henry, Clayton Davis and Oliver Hope.
