Sarah L. Walters DALLASTOWN Sarah L. (Aldinger) Walters, 88, formerly of Red Lion, entered into rest on Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 12:30 a.m. at Manor Care Dallastown. She was the wife of the late John H. Walters, Sr. who entered into rest on March 5, 2002. She was co-owner and operator of the former Walters General Store in Yorkana. She was a member of Our Gang Riding Club; a longtime member of Christ U.M. Church of Yorkana and of the U.M. Women's Club. Born in Seven Valleys on October 3, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Minnie (Buehler) Aldinger.
She is survived by two sons, John H. Walters, Jr. and wife Teresa of York and Michael Walters and wife Priscilla of Mechanicsburg; four daughters, Esther L. Wentz and husband Nelson of York, Joan M. Reever of Red Lion, Deanna L. Walters of York, and Dorothy M. Poff and husband Leroy of York; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Paul Aldinger of Seven Valleys.
Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A service will be held at a later date and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church of Yorkana, 3 Main St., Yorkana, PA 17402; or to the Alzheimer's Association, South Central PA Chapter, 2001 N. Front St., Bldg. 2, Suite 321, Harrisburg, PA 17102.
