Frederic Loomis Rites Tomorrow
Winthrop High Principal to be Buried in Fitchburg.
Funeral services for Frederic Colt Loomis, principal of the Winthrop High school who died yesterday after two weeks illness, will be held tomorrow...
Burial will be in Forest Hills cemetery, Fitchburg.
Loomis.... was graduated from the Gilbert school in Winsted, Ct., and later received degrees from Cornell and Harvard universities.
Before coming to Winthrop he was principal of the Sanderson academy at Ashfield.
In 1924 he joined the science department of the Winthrop High school and in 1927 was made principal....
He is survived by his widow, the former Annie L. Parkhurst; three sons, Charles P., Raymond T. and Robert C.; two brothers, George C. and Charles W., and his mother, Mrs. C. W. Loomis.
His father was the late Rev. C. W. Loomis.
