Arlene M. Gilbert of San Bernardino, a native of Farington, Iowa, lived in San Bernardino for 68 years, died at home of cancer on Tuesday at the age 70. She was a volunteer for the Rape Crisis Association and was survived by her husband, Lloyd, a daughter, Carol DeMaio of Upland, two sons, Jack Cornwell of San Bernardino and Michael Cornwell of Highland, two stepdaughters, Dianna Jaggers of Golden Valley and Patricia Hadley of San Bernardino, two stepsons, Lloyd Gilbert of Crescent City and Marvin Kerwood of redlands, a sister, sharon Ellingson of Highland, three brothers, Robert Bishop of San Bernardino, Floyd A. Bishop of Devore and John D. Bishop of Redlands, 29 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Services are 2:30 p.m. today at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel with burial in Montecito Memorial Park.
