Willard Dean "Buck" Harris, 70, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014, at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Greenwood.
He was born on July 11, 1943, in Bloomington, to Russell and Dorothy (Johnson) Harris.
He married June Marlene (Terrell) on Sept. 21, 1960.
She survives.
Other survivors include his children, Donna (Rob) Reimer, Dennis (Ivy) Harris and Darrell Harris. Also surviving are grandchildren, Miranda (Nathan) Stapleton, Brandy (Aaron) Lawrence, Jared (Andrea) Harris, Kristin Reimer, Dennis Harris and Travis Harris; great-grandchildren, Jackson Stiles, Wyatt Stapleton, Kaylee Dibblee, Bayleigh Stapleton, Maveryk Harris and Ethan Stapleton. Buck is survived by his brothers and sisters, Clyde (Judy) Harris, Carolyn Holland, Danny Harris, Rodney Harris, Brenda Kerr, Larry Harris and Lynn Hollars.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; three brothers, Russell, Bill and Jerry Harris; and one sister, Thelma Jean.
Buck was employed for R.T. Moore for 17 years. He was the owner of Today's Carpet Tech in Greenwood.
He enjoyed attending church at Mount Zion Assembly in Franklin. Buck loved watching NASCAR racing. He most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Pastors Steve and Linda Demaree will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
