Eugene C. "Red" Allen, 76, Sulphur Springs, died Tuesday afternoon at the Henry County Hospital in New Castle. He was owner of Allen Chevrolet at Sulphur Springs for 51 years, retiring in January of this year.
He was a member of Sulphur Springs Masonic Lodge 348, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and Murat Shrine of Indianapolis.
Surviving with the wife Geneva are two children, Mrs. William (Barbara) Foster, Danville, Ill. and Richard Allen, Middletown; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Jones, Sulphur Springs; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Main and Frame Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs with Rev. William Chapman officiating. Burial will be in the South Mound Cemetery at New Castle.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
