Elizabeth Dianne Allred Howell, 60, of 1449 Pinefield Drive, Sophia died Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mrs. Howell was born in Asheboro and was a 1969 graduate of Eastern Randolph High School. She was a long time employee with Star Pet, Inc. of Asheboro. Dianne was known to many as "Aunt Di". She was a great wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and was loved by all and will be greatly missed. She loved working with her plants but most of all she loved her family. Dianne was preceded in death by her father, Winfred Harold Allred, Sr.
She is survived by her husband: Randall Howell; sons: Greg "Petie" Davis and his wife, Dianna of Climax, North Carolina, Nick Howell and his wife, Meredith of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Buck Howell of Sophia, North Carolina; grandchildren: Paul and Jacky Davis; mother: Margaret Millikin Allred of Cedar Falls, sisters: Lillie Benbow of Franklinville, North Carolina, Deborah Morris of Asheboro, North Carolina and Teresa Parrish of Franklinville, North Carolina; brothers: Winfred Harold "Buster" Allred Jr of Asheboro, North Carolina and Bobby Allred of Anderson, South Carolina.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Hugh C. Spaulding officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
