George Keogh dies
Funeral services are pending for George Michael Keogh, who died on hid 68th birthday Sunday at his home in Rocker.
Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home is in charge. The Rev. Thomas Smatla will officiate at services and burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Keogh was born in Rocker on May 19, 1906, and attended Rocker School. He spent his entire life in the small community west of Butte, working as a hostler for the Butte, Anaconda and Pacific Railway.
He was a member of the Locomotive Engineers Union and the Rocker Volunteer Fire Department.
He married Phyllis Humber in 1932 in Butte. She survives.
Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George S. Keogh of Portola, Calif.; a brother, Ed. J. Keogh of Rocker, and sisters, Edna Sinz and Lill Matson, both of Sparks, Nevada.
