Naomi Ruth Flesher 90 of Fairplain graduated to Heaven July 29, 2014 at 9:40 am at Eldercare of Ripley following a long illness.
She was born February 1, 1924 at Frozen Camp a daughter of the late Samual and Bertha Godbey Pickens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Gilbert "Fats" Flesher, son Gilbert Wayne Flesher Jr. and 9 Siblings .
She is survived by four daughters Brenda Cox, Betty Davis and Lucille (Jim) Carney all of Fairplain and Carlotta (Cecil) Shamblin of St. Albans; sister Paralee Edens of Marmet; seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
She attended Second Baptist Church in Ravenswood for many years as well as Mercy Baptist Church. Naomi also attended many other churches. She loved life, fishing, camping, cooking, singing Gospel music and doing plastic canvas. She was a very sweet lady and her bright smile and her witty sense of humor will be truly missed.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral Home.
