widow of USN Lt. Peter J. Clarke,
May 3 at Seacrest Village in Little Egg Harbor, NJ.
Jane was Administrative Assistant to Lt. Governors Shaifer and Broderick. Also, Exec. Secretary to Judge Cipriani of Family Court in Phila.
She retired in 1987 to pursue genealogical research.
Was appointed a Fellow of the Pennsylvania Genealogical Society on June 27, 1997.
Jane researched internationally, served as Executive Director of GSP and was the first woman to serve as Honorary President; also edited Penn-in-Hand and authored Research Tips.
Jane's and husband Jimmy's families were next door neighbors in the Blue Bell Hill section of Germantown.
In addition to her sisters, Mary Louise (Phoebe) Adams, Nancy Lingard Adams Jones and husband Edward,
Jane is survived by three nieces, two nephews, and thirteen grand-nieces and nephews.
Jane, daughter of Edward and Alice Lingard Adams, was always a loyal and supportive daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
A Memorial Service will be on June 7, 2014 at 11:00A.M. at the Wayside Chapel, 1157 Horsham Road, Ambler PA. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
