Charles. F. Ziegelmaier, 78, of 12 Revere street, Waterbury, died early this morning at his home after a brief illness.
Born in Naugatuck, April 3, 1879, he was the son of the late Charles and Jeannette (Kindlan) Ziegelmaier, and had lived in Waterbury for the past 47 years. He had been employed at the Bristol Co. for 45 years prior to his retirement in 1943. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Nosahogan Lodge of I.O.O.F., Comstock Lodge Knights of Pythias and Mad River Grange.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Ann (Wagner) Zieglemaier, of Waterbury, he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Harold E Marshall, Waterbury; Mrs. Leon R. Smith and Mrs. Albert A. Mortensen, both of Naugatuck. One sister, Mrs. Mary Long, of New Haven and three grandchildren, Richard C. Mortensen and Annabelle L. Smith, both of Naugatuck and Linda J. Marshall of Waterbury.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m at the Alderson Funeral Home, 70 Central Avenue, Waterbury, with the Rev. Dr. Maxwell Long, officiating. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
