Born March 30, 1955, in Ft. Benning, Ga., she was a daughter of Thomas E. Hawks and Patsy Byrd Hawks of Atlanta, Ga. She was married to Matthew W. Myers Dec. 16, 1989. He survives in Reynoldsville.
She was a 1973 graduate of Walker High School, Decatur, Ga. She received her nursing degree from Dekalb School of Nursing, Atlanta, Ga. She had been a licensed practical nurse at DuBois Nursing Home for 35 years.
She was a member of Reynoldsville Gospel Center, Reynoldsville.
She is survived by one son, Andrew C. Myers, Reynoldsville; one daughter, Kelsey J. Myers, Reynoldsville; one brother, Randy Hawks, Woodstock, Ga.; and one sister, Kimberly Hawks, Woodstock, Ga.
MYERS: Debra Jean, 428 N. Fourth St., Reynoldsville, died Dec. 25, 2010. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home, Reynoldsville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Reynoldsville Gospel Center with the Rev. Bob Myers and Pastor Mark Myers officiating. Burial will be in Reynoldsville Cemetery.
