She was the owner of Carolyn's Beauty Shop for over 20 years before retiring and a member of Sixth Avenue United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Lancaster High School Class of 1949. Carolyn was an artist,doing china painting, loved cooking and catering.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Charles T. (Linda S.) Young, II of Junction City, Ohio; daughters, April Hewlett of Glenford, Ohio and Kelly French of Vandalia, Ohio; six grandchildren, Andrea Young, Charles T. "Chip" Young III, William J. Traugh, II, Jessica M. Casto, Danielle M. Traugh and Megan E. French; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Daniel S. (Audrey) Bosch of Lancaster, Ohio; sisters, Norma J. Cochran of Lancaster, Ohio, Bonnie J. (Wells) Preston of Miamisburg, Ohio and Mary H. Lucas of Newark, Ohio; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Young; 1st parents, Howard and Ollie Bosch; brothers, Howard K. Bosch Jr. andRonald Bosch; and sister, Lee Ann McCabe.
Funeral service wil be held Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHPEL, 405 NORTH COLUMBUS STREET, LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. John Edwards officiating.
Burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
