Warren Croft Green, 88, of Toccoa, Georgia and formerly of Baldwinsville, NY passed away peacefully on January 26, 2014 after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was surrounded by his wife, daughter and son, who had the privilege of caring for him in his final days on this earth. Warren was born on October 5, 1925 to Walter and Jean Green in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the youngest of four children. He was predeceased by his sisters, Helen Mae Garvin and Vera Croft White; and his brother, Walter Scott Green. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Green in 1965. Warren was a US Air Force veteran of WWII and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in business. He had a long and successful career in sales. He moved to the Syracuse area in 1950 and then to Baldwinsville in 1956 where he resided for 40 years. He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Baldwinsville. He and his wife, Amanda, relocated to Toccoa in 1996. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, the former Amanda Plonske; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Ellen and Kenneth Burke of Manlius, NY; and his son and daughter-in-law, Donald Scott and Carol Joy Green of Prince George, BC; two grandchildren, Micah and Anika Green; and several nieces and nephews. Warren lived a simple, honorable and meaningful life with the focus on his faith, family and friends. He had a gentle and kind spirit. He will be deeply and forever missed. Acree-Davis Funeral Home in Tocooa, GA handled funeral arrangements. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
