He is survived by his mother Fay Rodgers and stepfather Mike Mero of Maysville, North Carolina; a daughter, Sara Rodgers and her mother, Leslie Rodgers of Goshen; his companion, Sheila Smallwood and her children, Britany, Wade and Zac of Goshen; maternal grandparents, Pat and Stella Patterson of Portage, Michigan; and a brother, Wesley Rodgers of Goshen.
