Anhalt, Allan Michael
Allan M. Anhalt 1948-2014. Age 66, Allan passed away peacefully at his home in
Phoenix, AZ early in the morning on Saturday, 26 April 2014. Allan was born in
Manitowoc, WI to Michael and Esther Anhalt, who have preceded him in death.
Allan was a devoted brother, friend and the father of his cat, fur baby-Sadie.
He is survived by his sister, Ruth Haese of Manitowoc, WI and Sadie, his fur
baby in Phoenix, AZ. Allan was a member of the American Society of Ocularist.
Allan's business was Personaleyes Prosthetics, in Phoenix and Tucson, AZ. He was
a Board Certified Ocularist. He took great pride in helping many who were not
only patients but became friends over the years with many returning to have
artificial eyes remade, adjusted or polished. Allan proudly served our country
in the United States Army. He served as a Medic during Vietnam, Spec5. He
returned home and continued dedicating his life to making Custom fitted
artificial eyes. He was pleased to be able to participate in the care of his
patients. Allan was a member of Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Phoenix, AZ.
Allan loved animals, Jake, Ms. Kitty and beautiful Sadie. Our friends at Animal
Rescue Friends (ARF), immediately came to the rescue and helped get Sadie into a
quiet, safe, loving foster home on Saturday. Praying it becomes her permanent
Furever Home. Ruth and I, Sherry Kinnaman, would like to thank Hospice of the
Valley, Amber Johnson with Comforcare and his dear friend, Jim Schoeffling. From
those of us who were there, we would like everyone to know that Allan had a
peaceful and beautiful smile each and every minute of his last couple of months
and was very happy to pass at home with Sadie. Friends are encourage to make
donations to Animal Rescue Friends in the name of "Allan & Sadie" at
[email protected]. Allan, we love you, miss you, but know that you
are with us in spirit. His ashes will be escorted to his final resting place in
Manitowoc, WI.
