Chuck was a 1962 graduate of Pickford High School in Pickford, Michigan, a 1966 graduate of Taylor University in Upland, and received his Masters from St. Francis in Fort Wayne in 1969. He married Elaine K. Renbarger in Jalapa, Indiana on August 22, 1971. Chuck taught math at Wabash High School for 34 years, retiring in 2001. He was a 40 year member of the First United Methodist Church in Wabash. He was also a member of the National Education Association, and the Indiana State Teachers Association. Chuck loved deer hunting, camping, reading, and going to tractor pulls.
